Meet Connie Matisse, Co-Founder of East Fork Pottery. Connie, along with husband Alex and fellow Co-Founder John Vigeland, create covetable dishes out of local iron-rich clay in gorgeous glazes and colors that truly pop. Based in Asheville, NC, the pottery company with a cult following not only produces and sells beautifully durable ceramic dishware, but prides itself on its commitment to providing solid manufacturing jobs in the community, as well as holding themselves accountable to their stakeholders, their vendors and the environment. Who are you?

An under slept Mom and Co-founder of a weird pottery company.

What’s on your mind?

Yesterday was the first day of "kindergarten," but I totally forgot and now just sitting with that Mom guilt.

Where are you right now?

In my office at the East Fork Factory.

When did you start?

Having this panic attack? About 15 minutes ago.

Why do you do what you do?

Because I love it and also on accident.
