The lauded (and stylish) founder of Brooklyn-based boutique catering company Woldy Kusina, Woldy has gained notoriety by creating food that is centered around a simple philosophy—to provide good food and good experiences with sustainability, seasonality and culture at the heart of it all. As a proud first-generation Filipino American, Woldy elegantly and effortlessly infuses contemporary dishes with the vibrant flavors and colors of his roots. I'm Woldy + I love a good ballad + dancing is my hidden talent.
What’s on your mind?
A lot of things, but mainly mapping out on how I'm writing my first cookbook that will hopefully come out in Spring 2025!

When did you start?
I followed my dream of cooking in 2016 & never looked back!
Why do you do what you do?
I love connecting w/ people through my food that I cook. It's an act of <3 love + nourishment.
What’s your favorite meal to eat?
I love <3 my Lola's Crunchy Fried Vegetable Lumpia. Watching her sitting at the kitchen table & hand rolling each of the lumpia is one of my best memories of her.
What’s your favorite meal to cook?
Any noodle dish!
