For today’s Friday Sip we head to upstate NY. Hotel Kinsley is perfectly situated in the heart of the Catskills and the Hudson Valley, and is a design lover's dream, TBH. The hotel is a collection of four 19th century buildings in the historic Stockade district of Kingston. 301 Wall St, the first of the four buildings to open, is located in an old bank building–where you'll find the Wes Anderson-inspired check-in area inside the old bank vault! The Sip Story…

When you stay at Hotel Kinsley, or just stop in for dinner, you're lucky enough to experience the cocktail genius of Natasha David. Natasha and her husband, Jeremy Oertel, both beloved NYC bartenders, founded You and Me Cocktails, a cocktail consulting company, and they develop the amazing seasonal cocktail menu for Restaurant Kinsley.

According to Natasha, “Garden Party is shaken and served in a double rocks glass over large format ice and is garnished with a celery twist.

“The Salted Lemon-Lime Cordial in the drink is made in-house in an effort to be as sustainable as possible. We combine day old lemon and lime juice with sugar and salt and blend. We then add fresh lemon and lime peels and let the mixture sit for 24 hours.”

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

1 dash celery bitters
.5 oz Rhubarb liqueur
1 oz salted lemon-lime cordial
2 oz Citadelle gin

METHOD

Shake all ingredients. Serve in double rocks glass over large format ice cubes. Garnish with a celery twist.
